Tara embarked on a career in politics but later switched to advertising, joining Whybin\TBWA Auckland. She and her creative partner gained international attention by selling shares in their creative future, funding their way to Cannes. At TBWA, Tara disregarded convention and was named in Campaign Magazine's Top 50 emerging talent portfolio. She contributed to the ABSOLUT pantheon, creating a limited-edition bottle design. Moving to Sydney's Saatchi & Saatchi, Tara crafted an OPSM children's book that became the world's most effective marketing campaign in 2016.
Joining Google, Tara led a team focused on sparking brand love and trust through creativity. She supported major clients across the Asia Pacific in innovative ways. Notably, she founded Rare with Google, an initiative empowering underrepresented creatives. Leading a team of 60, she scaled and globalized Rare's offerings.
