Year two of Advertising Week Asia kicks off on Monday in Tokyo, where industry professionals from across the advertising, marketing, media and technology communities will join together to celebrate and discuss the future of the business. 

The official calendar for AWAsia 2017 boasts a lineup of impressive featured speakers, programming content focused on the most topical, timely industry issues, and evening events that allow attendees to socialize and enjoy the week-long festivities with live music, special performances and more. 

Some of the highlights for Advertising Week Asia 2017 include:

The Opening Gala, presented with TV Asahi, held at the esteemed Roppongi Hills Arena on Monday, with a special presentation of “e-Sports,” and special guest Tamayo Marukawa, Minister of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.  

Facebook’s Chris Cox on Wednesday on the Keynote Stage discussing how technology can help bring us closer together and how digital tools, like virtual reality, can be a force for establishing common ground, online and off. 

McDonald’s Japan’s Sarah Casanova on the Keynote Stage on Thursday discussing how and why the food chain strategically focuses on the customer, and she sought to enhance the McDonald’s brand and culture.

Newly announced Keynote speaker, Malcolm Poynton of Cheil Worldwide, who takes the Keynote Stage on Thursday. 

Finally, AWAsia’s closing event, the Wrap Party, on Thursday at Akasaka BLITZ with special live performances by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Rev Run, and DJ Ruckus.
